Call for Sessions and Abstracts
The theme of ISEO 2024 is “EarthObservation Facilitates Sustainable
Development in Arid and Semi-arid Areas”. The organizers encourage sessions and abstracts under the following themes, not limited:
Session 1: Earth Observation, Climate Change, and Sustainable Development Goals
Session 2: Earth Observation for Natural and Cultural Heritage Conservation
Session 3: Earth Observation for Ecosystem Dynamics and Their Climate Feedback
Session 4: Earth Observation for Mineral, Oil and Gas Resource Exploration
Session 5: Earth Observation for Tectonics, Geoheritage, Geoparks and Disaster Risks
Session 6: Earth Observation for Geological Disaster
Session 7: Earth Observation for Water Resource and Management
Session 8: Earth Observation for Agriculture Resource and Management
Session 9: Earth Observation for Urban Sustainable Development and Management
Session 10: Big Earth Data for Sustainable Development Monitoring
Session 11: Earth Observation Data Processing and Information Mining
Session 12: Earth Observation for Snow and Glaciers
Session 13: Earth Observation for Atmospheric Environment and Climate Change
All participants who are interested or working in the research field of Earth Observation are strongly encouraged to submit a research paper and develop proposals for an oral presentation. The abstracts will be considered for presentation in the specified sessions either as an oral presentation or as a poster paper. The instructions on abstract submissions for authors will be provided online. The symposium proceedings will be published and available at the symposium.
Abstract submission
Interested contributors should submit an abstract and/or full paper they propose for presentation. The symposium proceedings for ISEO 2024 will be available at the symposium.
- All submission should be in English;
- Abstract should be submitted to the symposium no later than 15 August , 2024;
- Notification of paper acceptance will be made by 31 August 2024; Each presenting author will be required to register before 20 September, 2024;
- Please submit abstracts through the Abstract Submission link at: https://iseo2024.casconf.cn/;
- All abstracts must be submitted online;
- All papers submitted to the conference proceedings will undergo evaluation by the Scientific Committee. Outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in Big Earth Data. All submissions must undergo peer review in accordance with the publishing policy of the Big Earth Data journal. If the papers are accepted for publication in the journal, authors will be required to pay the Article Processing Charges.
Registration
All participants, including speakers, are required to register for the symposium. Please register through the link (the website: https://iseo2024.casconf.cn/) The registration fee covers name badge, conference documentation, admission to all sessions, opening and closing ceremony, one official reception, and coffee/tea services during the meeting. We encourage payment of all fees for the symposium on website.
