SAR in Big Data Era: Models, Methods and Applications

August 5 – 6, 2019, Beijing China

Tens of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites are flying over us each day, guaranteeing the health of our planet Earth. Numerous amount of data are being acquired around the world with various modes and configurations, e.g. polarimetric, interferometric, monostatic, bistatic, ScanSAR, etc. Retrieving, processing and operational applications of this data become the bottlenecks. Artificial intelligence and machine vision technology are now revolutionizing the way we tackle this challenge.

The BIGSARDATA 2017 was held successfully in Beijing on 13-14 Nov. 2018, with the technical support from IEEE GRSS, ISDE, CSIG. In succession, BIGSARDATA2019 will be held to present advances of SAR technology and applications in the era of big data and artificial intelligence.

The workshop includes different subjects, such as big SAR data modeling, large-scale intelligent SAR processing, SAR applications in big data frameworks. It will feature keynote presentations by distinguished researchers on this topics.

M. Datcu, German Aerospace Center (DLR)

A. Hirose, The University of Tokyo

Y.Q. Jin, Fudan University
